Geocaching, PodCasting, Star Wars and New Resources

Our Geocaching Growth Group

The last few days have been VERY cool in the life of this TechGeek.

1) We recently took some friends Geocaching. Several people from our Growth Group (Bible Study Group) were interested to do this as a "social". (See photo) I had a great showing some newbies the sport / hobby. I think we have some converts: they were "dormant" geocachers that only needed their first taste to "bloom".

2) PodCasting has a lot of potential. Steve Jobs recently (this weekend) announced that the next version of iTunes (coming out in 60 days) would allow people to track RSS feeds and easily subscribe to podcasts. Sandy and I have something in the works right now for our own podcast. STAY TUNED!

3) Sandy and I went to see Star Wars III last night. Ohhhh my! What a nice wrap up to a 6 movie dynasty! Of course being the StarWars Geek that I am, there were times that I was squirming in my chair seeing / hearing significant Star Wars references in the movie that I didn't have time to comment on DURING the movie. I later chatted with Sandy about those references. She thinks I'm too much of a geek but says she still loves me anyhow.

4) New Internet Resources: I have found flickr.com. This allows you to upload photos, share them with people, let them see a slide show AND best of all: easily upload photos (as the geocaching photo on this post) to a blog! Oh yaaa!
